Kim Kardashian Defends 'All's Fair' After Critics Slam Show as 'Worst Drama Ever'
Kim Kardashian Claps Back at 'All's Fair' Critics

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has launched a defiant response to the wave of scathing criticism aimed at her new Disney+ drama series, All's Fair.

The show, which debuted its first three episodes earlier this week, has been labelled a 'crime against television' and 'one of the worst TV dramas ever' by critics, despite racing to the number one spot on the streaming platform's charts.

A Star-Studded Show Mired in Controversy

Written by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, All's Fair boasts an impressive ensemble cast including acting legends Glenn Close and Naomi Watts, alongside Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, and Teyana Taylor.

The plot follows a team of female divorce attorneys who start their own practice in Los Angeles. Both Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, serve as executive producers on the series, which is said to be inspired by celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.

Kim's Fiery Instagram Retort

Addressing the backlash head-on, the 45-year-old star took to her Instagram, which has a following of 354 million, to challenge the narrative. She posted a series of fan comments that praised the show, alongside her own caption questioning her followers: 'Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!? All's Fair streaming now.'

One of the shared fan posts suggested that the negative reviews had inadvertently boosted viewership, joking that critics didn't realise their pans were 'making people watch and love the show'. Another shared post cheekily argued that the show dared to ask if a series even 'needs to be good', concluding that it does not.

Critics Deliver Brutal Verdicts

The critical reception, however, has been overwhelmingly harsh. The Guardian's TV critic, Lucy Mangan, awarded the series a zero-star rating, describing it as 'fascinatingly, incomprehensibly, existentially terrible'.

She wrote in her damning review: 'I did not know it was still possible to make television this bad... All's Fair is terrible.'

Echoing this sentiment, Ben Dowell, The Times' deputy TV editor, also gave it zero stars. He called the show a 'tacky and revolting monument to greed, vanity and avarice' and quipped that the script felt as if it was written 'by a toddler who couldn't write 'bum' on a wall'.

The show's poor reception is reflected in its aggregate scores, currently holding a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 3.5 out of 10 on IMDb.

A Divided Audience Reaction

While many viewers on social media agreed with the critics, some have found merit in the series. One X user, @biscuit_ersed, described All's Fair as 'gloriously silly' and compared it to a blend of 'Selling Sunset meets Suits meets Real Housewives'.

Another fan, @gtru_star77, defended it as a 'fantastic dramedy' with a 'funny, camp' tone, suggesting critics were predisposed to dislike it because of Kim Kardashian's involvement.

Despite the polarising views, the controversy has undoubtedly placed All's Fair firmly in the public eye, proving that even the worst reviews can generate significant attention. All episodes are available to stream now on Disney Plus.
