Influencer Charlie Hopper has shared a simple recipe to recreate Blank Street's viral Iced Blondie Latte at home for significantly less than the £4-5 charged in-store. The dessert-like seasonal coffee, known for its sweet and savoury flavour profile, can be made with instant coffee, brown sugar, and Biscoff spread.
Ingredients and Method
Charlie Hopper, who has over 27,000 Instagram followers, demonstrated the recipe in a recent reel. She used two teaspoons of instant coffee, a teaspoon of brown sugar, and some Biscoff spread, which she says "makes it taste like the Blank Street one." She mixed these with hot water until smooth.
Assembling the Drink
Next, she filled a cup with ice and oat milk, specifically Oatly Barista Oat Milk, though cow's milk works as an alternative. She poured the coffee mixture over the milk and added vanilla cold foam. To make the foam, she whisked a small amount of oat milk with vanilla syrup using a handheld milk frother, noting that a good frother is essential.
Tips and Reactions
Charlie suggested that cream can be substituted for oat milk for better froth. The post received over 1,500 likes, with comments like "I'm going to have to try" and "Just tried this, wow it's so good!"
