'I'm a showman, you have to go to court to have it legalised,' Rees stated, clarifying that most British couples who marry in Dubai typically handle the legal requirements separately, either in a Dubai court or back in a UK register office, either before or after their picturesque ceremony.
Whirlwind Romance
The revelation adds another layer of complexity to a romance that has unfolded at remarkable speed. It is believed that Katie met Lee just one week before their wedding ceremony, with even her closest friends and family reportedly stunned by how quickly their relationship escalated.
Within days of her arrival in Dubai, Lee proposed with a large diamond ring and rose petals spelling out 'Will you marry me?' Katie confirmed the engagement on social media, sharing images that showed Lee already sporting a 'Katie' tattoo on his hand.
