Taskmaster Series 20 Final: Time, Cast, Details

The hilarious and chaotic journey of Taskmaster series 20 reaches its grand finale tonight, concluding weeks of absurd challenges and comedic brilliance. The ultimate winner, who has endured the whims of Taskmaster Greg Davies and his assistant Alex Horne, will finally be revealed in an unmissable episode.

When to Watch the Series 20 Finale

Mark your calendars and set your reminders. The Taskmaster series 20 final is scheduled to air on Thursday, November 13. Just like the previous episodes, it will broadcast on Channel 4 at 9pm. The finale is expected to run for approximately one hour, packed with the last round of inventive tasks and Greg Davies's signature withering judgements.

A preview from the Radio Times promises a typically madcap conclusion: “In the mad dash to the finish line, Ania Magliano worries about leaving Phil Ellis unattended, Maisie Adam gets apple juice in her ear, Reece Shearsmith tries out a new nose and Sanjeev Bhaskar loses his temper over the word flanks.” The preview also hints at a drenched Alex Horne before Greg Davies finally crowns the new champion.

Meet the Talented Cast of Series 20

The line-up for this twentieth season was announced back in July, following the conclusion of series 19. The five comedians battling for the coveted trophy are:

  • Ania Magliano: A rising comedian and writer known for her work on 'Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date' and 'Frankie Boyle's New World Order', with appearances on popular podcasts like 'Off Menu'.
  • Maisie Adam: A celebrated stand-up comedian who has graced the Edinburgh Fringe and was a recent contestant on 'Celebrity Mastermind' and 'The Big Fat Quiz of the Year'.
  • Phil Ellis: A stand-up comic and Edinburgh Fringe regular, having performed at the festival since 2008, including his 2025 show 'Phil Ellis: Soppy Stern'.
  • Reece Shearsmith: Best known for his iconic roles in 'The League of Gentlemen', 'Psychoville', and the critically acclaimed series 'Inside No. 9'.
  • Sanjeev Bhaskar: A beloved actor and comedian, widely recognised for his role as DI Sunny Khan in ITV's 'Unforgotten' and for his work on 'Goodness Gracious Me'.

As always, the towering Greg Davies presides as the Taskmaster, ably assisted by the long-suffering Alex Horne, the creator of the show. The duo have been the constants since the programme first debuted on Dave in 2015.

Double the Festive Taskmaster Fun

For fans already dreading the end of the series, there is plenty of Taskmaster joy on the horizon. In a festive treat for viewers, the annual Taskmaster’s New Year Treat will air two special episodes over the Christmas period, marking the first time the holiday special has been a double bill.

These episodes will feature a new group of five celebrities from across the entertainment world, all competing for festive glory. The identities of these famous faces are set to be announced soon.

Furthermore, the ultimate Champion of Champions tournament is also scheduled to return. This will see previous series winners Sam Campbell, John Robins, Andy Zaltzman, and Mathew Baynton return to the famous house to battle once more for the highest honour and a golden bust of Greg Davies's torso.
