Strictly Come Dancing 2025: La Voix in Line for Hosting Role After Finale
Strictly bosses 'determined' to find La Voix a presenting role

The glitterball has been lifted and the tears have been shed, but the future of Strictly Come Dancing's presenting lineup is now the talk of the town. Following the emotional departure of iconic hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman after the 2025 final, BBC bosses are reportedly 'determined' to find a role for fan-favourite contestant La Voix.

From Contestant to Contender

The Drag Race UK star, whose real name is Chris Dennis, was forced to withdraw from the competition earlier in the series due to a foot injury. However, her charismatic presence left a lasting impression. During her time on the show, she humorously asked Claudia Winkleman where to send her CV for the hosting job and even stepped into Tess Daly's shoes to introduce her own dance.

This week, those jokes appear to be turning into a serious audition. La Voix was given the high-profile task of hosting the finalists' press conference last Wednesday, a role traditionally handled by It Takes Two hosts Fleur East and Janette Manrara. A source told the Daily Mail this was 'definitely an audition', with BBC's Head of Entertainment Commissioning, Kalpna Patel-Knight, observing proceedings.

Producers See a Star in the Making

An insider revealed that producers view La Voix as a major talent, drawing comparisons to the legendary Dame Edna Everage. 'Producers think she is the next Dame Edna Everage and are determined to find her a role on Strictly, whether that be on the main show or It Takes Two,' the source stated.

Her BBC exposure didn't stop there. Alongside appearing in the final's group dance, La Voix also stepped in to co-present BBC's Morning Live with Helen Skelton, covering for Gethin Jones. Her performance there, coupled with her noted empathy and support backstage at Strictly, has reportedly impressed senior figures.

A New Era for Strictly

The 2025 final, which aired on December 20th, was a poignant moment as it marked the end of Daly and Winkleman's twenty-year tenure. The episode saw footballer Karen Carney crowned champion, but the focus for many is now firmly on the future.

While the BBC has made no official announcement regarding permanent replacements, the clear push to integrate La Voix into a presenting capacity signals the direction producers may be considering. Her unique blend of comedy, warmth, and established fanbase could usher in a vibrant new chapter for the world's most famous dance show.
