GK Barry Reveals She 'Made People Cry' on Chaotic ITV Show Celebrity Sabotage
GK Barry Admits Making People Cry on ITV's Celebrity Sabotage

GK Barry Opens Up About Emotional Impact of New ITV Show Celebrity Sabotage

Former I'm A Celebrity star GK Barry has candidly admitted that her latest television venture, the ITV reality series Celebrity Sabotage, led to participants shedding tears during filming. The TikTok sensation, whose real name is Grace Keeling, has transitioned from social media fame to primetime television, appearing on shows like This Morning and Loose Women after gaining a massive following of 4.1 million.

Chaos and Cash Prizes Define New Reality Series

In Celebrity Sabotage, GK Barry teams up with fellow celebrities Judi Love, Joel Dommett, and Sam Thompson to execute hidden camera pranks on unsuspecting members of the public, with the goal of winning them cash prizes. The show operates with zero rules, ensuring inevitable chaos from the outset as the quartet engages in mischievous antics for a greater cause.

Speaking to Metro, the 26-year-old influencer explained the show's format: 'We are based in Mission HQ. Members of the public think they're going on a show, say, a dating or cooking show. Basically, we have to sabotage the show to earn money for them without getting caught.'

She added, 'It was pure chaos. We were making people cry, but then there's the amazing reveal at the end where they've earned money.'

Stressful Pranks and Personal Antics

One particularly stressful prank involved a dog show where GK Barry had to steal an item from a Great Dane. 'The dog was going absolutely ballistic at me, all the while I've got his owner turned round facing the wall, trying to act really natural,' she shared. 'It was genuinely so stressful. I've never looked at a Great Dane the same since.'

Her prankster nature extends beyond the screen, as she admits to constantly winding up her girlfriend, Ella Rutherford. However, her frequent antics have led to diminished reactions, such as when she woke Ella with an old man mask only to receive a nonchalant response.

Unfiltered Opinions and Industry Insights

Known for her unfiltered persona, GK Barry shared an unpopular opinion: 'I love an Irish exit at a party, and we should all leave without telling anyone. I do not believe in saying goodbye.' She expressed frustration with group goodbyes, advocating for the normalization of discreet departures.

Since her rise to fame during lockdown through TikTok videos, Grace has built a loyal audience through her podcast, live shows, and television appearances. In 2024, she joined the Loose Women panel, where she has developed strong relationships with co-stars, particularly Denise Welch, whom she admires for her extensive life experiences.

'Every time I sit down with her, I think, Wow, this is crazy,' GK Barry said of Welch. She also remains close with former I'm A Celeb campmate Reverend Richard Coles, humorously noting his lack of emoji proficiency in texts and expressing a desire for him to officiate her future wedding and funeral.

Celebrity Aspirations and Show Details

When asked which celebrity she'd like to swap places with for a day, GK Barry gave a quirky answer: Princess Anne. 'I want to see how she rides the horse and all the goss that goes on in the royal family. Priceless gossip,' she explained.

Celebrity Sabotage is set to premiere on Saturday, 21 March, on ITV1 and ITVX, promising viewers a blend of humor, chaos, and emotional moments as celebrities pull pranks for charitable causes.
