David Beckham Becomes UK's First Billionaire Sportsman

David Beckham has become Britain's first billionaire sportsman after his wealth doubled in the past year, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. The former England football captain and his wife, Victoria Beckham, are now estimated to be worth nearly £1.2 billion.

Inter Miami and Other Ventures

Beckham's fortune has been significantly boosted by the surging valuation of Inter Miami, the Major League Soccer team he co-owns. The club won the MLS title in 2025, further increasing its value. Additionally, Beckham owns the supplements brand IM8 and the production company Studio 99, and continues to secure lucrative endorsement deals in sportswear, fashion, and fragrances. Victoria Beckham's fashion and beauty business is also thriving. His holding company, DRJB Holdings, paid out over $50 million in dividends in its most recently published accounts.

Other Top Earners in Sports

Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone remains the richest Briton involved in sport, with a family fortune estimated at £2 billion. Barry and Eddie Hearn rank third on the sports rich list, with combined wealth just over £1 billion, thanks to their promotion company Matchroom, which dominates boxing, darts, and snooker.
