Morrisons is set to introduce Harry Ramsden's 'world famous' fish and chips to 32 of its UK cafés starting August 10, 2026, as part of a new partnership under the 'Proudly Serving' model. The collaboration could lead to a nationwide rollout if the initial trial proves successful, according to the supermarket.
Expanding a Long-Standing Relationship
The move builds on an existing relationship between the two companies. Last year, Morrisons began stocking a chilled range of Harry Ramsden's products, including their signature battered fish and chunky chips. Now, shoppers will be able to enjoy these favourites immediately in-store, with options like mushy peas, curry sauce, and gravy also on the menu.
Harry Ramsden's, founded in Guiseley, West Yorkshire, in 1928, is Britain's oldest restaurant chain. However, its presence has shrunk dramatically from a peak of 50 standalone outlets to just eight today, as parent company Deep Blue has shifted focus to product licensing and global franchising since acquiring the brand in 2019.

Burger Boi Expansion Follows
Harry Ramsden's isn't the only new addition to Morrisons' eat-in offering. After an 'exceptional' response to the December launch of an in-store Burger Boi restaurant at its Manchester Piccadilly branch, the supermarket has announced plans for six more locations across the UK. The new concessions will feature the brand's Californian-inspired smashed burgers and fried chicken, with popular items like the American Boi and Hot Honey Smash available for sit-down dining, takeaway, or delivery.
So far, Wood Green and Watford are the only locations officially confirmed, but Burger Boi founder Surj Bassi said the partnership aims to target 'convenient, high-footfall' spots.
