Slim Chickens launches first ever £8.95 lunch deal

Slim Chickens has introduced its first ever permanent lunch offer, giving customers the chance to enjoy popular menu items with fries and signature House Sauce for £8.95. The new Slim Chickens Lunch launches on October 13, 2026, and will be available Monday to Friday between 12pm and 4pm.

Three options under one price

Guests can choose between 3 Fresh Tenders, a Slims Wrap, or 6 Boneless Bites, all served with fries and Slim Chickens’ House Sauce for the fixed price of £8.95. For an additional £3, diners can add a bottomless soft drink to their meal.

The deal is designed to provide a full Slims experience at a price point that undercuts the average cost of a comparable fast-food meal in the UK, where the average lunch spend has risen in recent years.

Marketing director cites value demand

Tom Patrick, Marketing Director at Slim Chickens UK, said: “Everyone is looking a little harder at value at the moment, but value shouldn’t mean having to compromise on what you actually want to eat. Our new £8.95 lunch offer gives guests a proper Slims lunch, whether that’s our freshly cooked tenders, a Slims Wrap or Boneless Bites, with fries and one of our signature sauces, all for under £9.”

Patrick added: “We’re launching it just ahead of half term because we know people are looking for affordable ways to eat out, whether that’s grabbing lunch with friends, taking a break from work or feeding the family while they’re out and about. It’s simple - great chicken, loads of flavour and a price that feels genuinely good value.”

Timing ahead of school break

The launch is deliberately scheduled ahead of the October half-term school holiday, a period when families typically seek budget-friendly dining options. By making the deal available every weekday afternoon, Slim Chickens aims to capture both the working lunch crowd and parents with children during the school break.

The offer is the first permanent lunch promotion in the company’s UK history, marking a strategic shift toward value-led menu positioning amid broader consumer pressure on discretionary spending.
