The Food Standards Agency has announced a significant recall of several porridge products from the British brand Moma, citing a possible mice contamination at their manufacturing facility. This precautionary measure affects nine specific items, including both pot and sachet varieties, with customers strongly advised against consumption and instructed to return the products for a full refund.

According to the official statement released on Sunday, Moma Foods is recalling various porridge pots and sachet products due to the risk of mouse contamination, which could render them unsafe to eat. The recall encompasses seven porridge pot flavors: almond butter and salted caramel, apple, cinnamon and brown sugar, banana and peanut butter protein, blueberry and vanilla, cranberry and raisin, golden syrup, and plain no-added sugar. Additionally, two sachet products are included: almond butter and salted caramel, and apple, cinnamon and brown sugar.
None of Moma's other products are impacted by this recall, as confirmed by the company. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores selling these items and on their websites, with an alert also posted on Moma's own site to ensure widespread awareness.

Moma emphasized that while the likelihood of contamination is low, this step is taken to prioritize consumer safety. The company stated, "Even though the chance of contamination of any of the above products being affected is low, we have taken this precautionary step to ensure the safety of our consumers."
