Wetherspoons January Sale: Pints from 99p at 600 UK Pubs
Wetherspoons launches huge January sale with 99p pints

Pub giant Wetherspoons has launched a major January sale across hundreds of its venues, offering punters cut-price pints, spirits, and food despite the traditional Dry January period.

Drink Deals to Tempt Customers

The headline offer sees pints of Worthington's beer slashed to just 99p at participating pubs. Spirit lovers are also catered for, with 25ml measures of Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky or Tanqueray gin, including a mixer, available for £1.99 each.

Recognising the trend for moderation, the chain has also included a wide range of non-alcoholic options in the promotion. Drinks like Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, and Gordon's 0.0 pink gin are all priced at £1.69. Wine drinkers can get a 250ml glass of Coldwater Creek varieties, including Chardonnay and Merlot, for £2.99.

Budget-Friendly Food on the Menu

The discounts extend beyond the bar, with several meal deals available. Customers can grab an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a crunchy chicken burger with chips or salad for £4.99 when paired with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.

A selection of jacket potatoes is also part of the sale. Six standard options with one filling, such as tuna mayo or chilli bean non-carne, are offered at the same price points as the burger and pizza. For an extra 99p, an additional filling or side salad can be added.

Three new 'gourmet' jacket spuds have been introduced, including the Loaded Spud and the Mexican Spud, costing £6.49 with a soft drink.

Nationwide Offer with a Note of Caution

The sale prices will be active at more than 600 Wetherspoons pubs throughout the United Kingdom. However, the chain noted that prices at its other 200 locations may differ, advising customers to check with their local branch before visiting.

Founder and chairman Tim Martin commented on the launch, stating, "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to also have a sale in the pubs." He emphasised the wide variety of low and non-alcoholic drinks included and expressed his belief that the sale would prove popular, while reaffirming that staff would serve customers responsibly.

The sale, announced on January 5, 2026, presents a significant discount opportunity for UK pub-goers in the post-Christmas period.
