Grain's Holborn Flagship Launches with 50% Off Week
Grain Opens Holborn Flagship with Grand Launch Event

A new Mediterranean-inspired dining concept is making a major splash in central London, as Grain prepares to host the grand launch of its flagship Holborn restaurant next week.

A Week of Celebrations and Discounts

The Grand Launch event will run from Monday 19th to Saturday 24th January 2026, offering locals and workers a compelling reason to visit. Throughout the week, the restaurant will feature a special promotional offer of 50% off all set bowls, Build Your Own Bowls, and Matcha products. The brand has confirmed there are no limitations on how many of these discounted items customers can order.

Although the restaurant first opened its doors at 272 High Holborn in November last year, this dedicated event marks its formal introduction to the community. A Grain spokesperson explained the thinking behind the launch: “This grand launch gives us a chance to properly connect with the Holborn community. We wanted to create an event that encourages people in the area to come in, try Grain for the first time, and experience what our Mediterranean menu is all about.”

Honest Fast Food with a Scalable Vision

Grain was founded by a collective of chefs, hospitality and retail entrepreneurs with extensive multi-site experience. Their stated mission is ambitious: to bring honesty back to fast food and to create a scalable, sustainable brand. They aim to meet the growing consumer demand for health-driven dining without compromising on flavour or convenience.

The Holborn branch embodies this philosophy. It allows customers to assemble their own bowls and pitas from a wide selection of unprocessed bases, proteins, and fresh dips. The interior space, designed in collaboration with Terry Moore of Hotel Chocolat fame, features an open kitchen and a bright, sun-washed colour palette specifically designed for high-footfall urban locations.

The First Step in a National Rollout

The Holborn opening is just the beginning for Grain. The company has confirmed this site is the first move in a significant national rollout strategy. Plans are in place to open ten more restaurants in major UK cities throughout 2026, with a longer-term target of operating 50 sites across the country by 2030.

To achieve this rapid expansion, the company is already in active discussions with landlords, developers, and investors to secure prominent sites. The focus is on key retail destinations, major transport hubs, and bustling university areas to maximise reach. The spokesperson added that the launch is "about sharing great food, meeting our neighbours, and firmly establishing Grain in the London food scene" before the brand grows nationwide.
