Family's Heartbreak as Adventurous Son Dies Abroad
A 24-year-old man from Cornwall has tragically died after suffering a catastrophic allergic reaction while on holiday in Argentina. Harry Kitto was travelling across South America with his girlfriend, Naomi, when he suddenly fell ill in the capital city, Buenos Aires.
Described by his devastated family as adventurous, funny and full of life, Harry was just days away from returning home to the UK when the tragedy occurred. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he was declared brain dead after seven days and passed away in hospital with his family by his side.
Community Rallies to Bring Harry Home
In the wake of this devastating loss, a GoFundMe page was swiftly set up to cover the costs of repatriating his body to Cornwall and for his funeral. The campaign saw an overwhelming response, raising more than £50,000 within a single day, a testament to the number of lives Harry touched.
The family stated they were speechless at the generosity shown. They confirmed that any remaining funds will be donated to the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, a charity which supported them during Harry's week-long fight in the hospital.
Emotional Tributes for a Beloved Brother and Son
Harry's older brother, Bobby, led the tributes, posting an emotional message on Facebook. He wrote: I love you brother. You leave a void that can never be filled. Thank you for all the memories, good times, laughs and for always being there for me when I needed you the most. Until we meet again.
In a touching joint statement, Harry's family remembered his bravery. Harry fought so hard, and we have never been prouder of him, they said. He was brave, strong, and full of love until the very end. They also expressed profound gratitude for the public support, which has given them strength during this heartbreaking time.
