BCG Reports 40% of Revenue from AI-Focused Services in 2025
BCG: AI Services Now 40% of Revenue in 2025

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has reported that AI-focused services now account for 40% of its total revenue, contributing to a seven percent global revenue increase to $14.4bn (£10.6bn) in 2025. This marks the firm's 22nd consecutive year of growth, up from $13.5bn in 2024.

AI Drives Growth

BCG attributed its single-digit revenue growth to the surge in AI services, which grew 25% year-over-year. Chief Executive Christoph Schweizer stated, "AI is now woven into every offering, client relationship, and daily case team experience to drive transformation and multiply impact for our clients." The firm increased its headcount by 500 to 33,500, focusing on technical roles such as AI engineers and data scientists.

Workforce AI Upskilling

One of the Big Three consultancies alongside McKinsey and Bain & Co, BCG has prioritized AI upskilling for its staff, with employees now using AI tools daily. The firm has embedded AI into client solutions and consulting workflows, following a '10-20-70' approach: 10% to algorithms, 20% to tech and data, and 70% to people and processes. Schweizer emphasized, "Our people are at the centre of our performance. Their judgment, empathy, and ability to combine applied AI with strategic clarity are what enable us to deliver lasting impact for clients."
