Slimming World, the UK's largest weight loss organisation, has launched a new recipe box meal kit delivery service in partnership with HelloFresh. The collaboration aims to make healthy eating more convenient for members and non-members alike, offering a range of low-calorie, Slimming World-approved recipes delivered directly to customers' doors.
How the Slimming World Meal Kit Service Works
The meal kits are available through HelloFresh's existing delivery platform, with recipes specifically designed to align with Slimming World's Food Optimising plan. Each box contains pre-portioned ingredients and step-by-step recipe cards, allowing customers to prepare meals that are typically under 600 calories per serving. The service offers a selection of dishes, including chicken tikka masala, beef chilli, and vegetarian options like lentil dhal.
According to Slimming World, the partnership provides a "hassle-free way to enjoy healthy, delicious meals" while sticking to the company's weight loss principles. The kits are priced similarly to HelloFresh's standard boxes, starting at around £3.30 per serving, with no additional Slimming World membership required to purchase.
Impact on Slimming World Members and Healthy Eating
For Slimming World's 900,000 weekly members, the meal kits offer a practical solution to meal planning and portion control, two key challenges in maintaining a weight loss regimen. The service also expands HelloFresh's reach into the growing market for health-focused meal kits, which has seen increased demand since the pandemic. A spokesperson for HelloFresh stated: "We're thrilled to partner with Slimming World to bring their expertise in healthy eating to our customers. These recipe boxes make it easy for anyone to enjoy nutritious meals without the stress of planning and shopping."
The launch comes as the UK meal kit market continues to grow, with companies like Gousto and Mindful Chef also offering low-calorie options. However, Slimming World's brand recognition and built-in member base give this partnership a competitive edge. The service is available for delivery across most of mainland UK, with plans to expand to more areas in the coming months.
