Walkers Unveils 3 New Crisp Flavours for World Cup 2026

Summer is fast approaching, and with it comes an influx of new food items hitting supermarket shelves. Cadbury has already announced a new Twirl, and now Walkers has unveiled several new crisp flavours as part of its partnership with FIFA for the Men's World Cup 2026. The new crisps are inspired by countries participating in the global football competition, including England, Mexico, Spain, and Portugal.

What Are the New Walkers Flavours?

As an official sponsor of the World Cup, Walkers is launching three limited-edition flavours: Walkers English Bangers & Mash, Walkers Wavy Spanish Queso, and Walkers Max Portuguese Chorizo and Onion. Additionally, PepsiCo, which owns Walkers, is introducing World Cup flavours across its Doritos and Wotsits brands. Doritos will feature a Mexican Beef Tacos flavour, while Wotsits Golden Balls will get a football-shaped makeover with a Smokin' Cheese flavour.

When Are the New Crisps Available?

The flavours are limited-edition and available in UK shops now until August 7. Each pack features special World Cup promotional packaging with 'gamified' QR code experiences, offering chances to win instant prizes such as merchandise, home viewing bundles, and food delivery vouchers. Two grand prizes worth £10,000 each are also up for grabs.

Rob Pothier, portfolio marketing director at Walkers, said: 'With crisps a classic choice when watching sport, the FIFA World Cup 2026 is a key calendar moment for retailers to drive category growth. The activity across our core range, supported by a standout on-pack activation, aims to support retailers in achieving exactly that.' He added: 'Football is a team game and by including Doritos Mexican Beef Taco and Wotsits Golden Balls, we're bringing even more excitement to snacks fixtures for retailers, and big football fixtures for fans.'

Prices start from £1.10 for a grab bag, £1.89 for large sharing bags, and £2.15 for 5-pack multi-packs.
