Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine tour arrives at London's O2 Arena for a 10-night residency starting August 15, 2026, and fans must adhere to a strict clear bag policy or risk being denied entry.
Clear Bag Policy Mandatory for Entry
The O2 Arena announced on X that all belongings must be in a 100% clear bag, with each fan limited to one such bag. Acceptable materials include clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC, with dimensions no larger than 30cm x 15cm x 30cm. Clear plastic freezer bags up to medium size (30cm x 26cm) are also allowed.
Items inside the clear bag must be loose for visibility; printed, patterned, or tinted plastic bags are prohibited. Exceptions exist for medical, accessibility, parent/child-care related bags, or other essential bags, but these undergo security checks.
Fan Reactions and Security Context
Some fans expressed frustration on social media, with one calling the rules "ridiculous" and another questioning why the policy isn't applied to all O2 shows. However, others defended the measures, referencing the 2017 Manchester Arena attack during an Ariana Grande concert that killed 22 people. One fan stated: "Surprised people are complaining about this, remember what happened in Manchester." Another added: "Bless her, must be terrifying to perform again. 100% get these rules."
Ariana Grande has previously spoken about processing trauma, saying: "I am constantly working on my health/learning how to process pain... Every day is different."
Tour and Upcoming O2 Gigs
The Eternal Sunshine tour began in June 2026 with 41 dates across the US and Canada before heading to London. Her first O2 show is August 15, with subsequent gigs through September 1. Other upcoming O2 Arena events include Summer Walker (August 1-2), Hollywood Vampires (August 12), A$AP Rocky (August 30), Daniel Caesar (September 2), Hilary Duff (September 10-15), and more through October.
