Netflix has revealed its ten most-watched TV series of 2026, and a surprise psychological thriller has claimed the number one spot. According to Netflix's Tudum, the biggest show of the year so far is His and Hers, an adaptation of Alice Feeney's novel of the same name.
Star-Studded Cast and Plot
The series stars Tessa Thompson as Anna and Jon Bernthal as Jack, her estranged husband. When Anna learns that a dead body has been discovered in her sleepy hometown, she and Jack are drawn back together to investigate the bizarre crime. Since its release on January 8, 104 million people have tuned in to watch their story.
Critical Reception
His and Hers holds a 71% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Lucy Mangan of The Guardian described it as 'ideal new year TV' and 'twisty, absurd and bingeable.' David Opie at Tech Advisor wrote: 'There's nothing here you haven't seen before, but His and Hers is worth watching nonetheless. In large part, that's thanks to superstars Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal who elevate the writing and ground every twist, no matter how absurd things get.'
However, not all reviews were positive. Rodrigo Perez of The Playlist commented: 'It's captivating in a surface-level way, but given there's no real substance underneath, it all starts to feel like a very shallow grave after a while.'

For context, His and Hers is only the tenth most viewed English-language show ever made.
Mixed Reviews for Stranger Things Final Season
Stranger Things' final season received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances but felt some story choices let the series down. Rounding out the top five was another Harlan Coben show, Run Away, which attracted 50 million views.
His and Hers is available to watch on Netflix now.
