Marks & Spencer has expanded its Choc Marks range with a new mini version of its popular Blond Chocolate and Pistachio Bar, now available for on-the-go snacking. The 50g bar retails at £1.40, offering a smaller alternative to the existing 180g format priced at £3.50.
Ingredients and Flavor Profile
The bar combines Swiss blond chocolate with Californian pistachios, shortbread pieces, cornflakes, and a hint of sea salt. M&S describes the treat as 'nutty, sweet, and crunchy,' aiming to appeal to caramelised chocolate fans.
Social Media Announcement
M&S announced the launch on Instagram, stating: 'New in the M&S Foodhall – another blond bombshell. You went crazy for our BIG version last year, now we’ve reimagined it in a smaller format for on-the-go snacks or an indulgent treat for yourself.' The post added: 'This is an absolute must-try for caramelised choc fans.'
Customer Reactions
Fans have responded enthusiastically. Instagram user @rach_l_gym_acc commented: 'This is my fave of this range, well pleased it’s now available in smaller bars.' @chloe.massini called it her 'absolute favourite' of all M&S chocolate bars, while @sarahconleyx wrote: 'HALLELUJAH.' @centralnannies added: 'We have to try this immediately.'
Broader Chocolate Trends
The launch follows recent chocolate news, including Galaxy introducing two new flavours – Galaxy Millionaire Crumble and Galaxy Cinnamon Swirl – available at Iceland, The Food Warehouse, and select Spar stores in Scotland. Tony’s Chocolonely also debuted a Milk Popcorn Crunch bar, a sweet and salty treat with roasted, caramelised popcorn pieces in 32% Fairtrade Belgian milk chocolate, described as evoking a 'nostalgic hit of moreish crunch' reminiscent of cinema snacks.
