A Londoner named Lilly was left astonished after exploring charity shops in some of the city's most affluent neighborhoods, finding them brimming with high-end designer items. While charity shopping can be hit or miss, Lilly's TikTok documentation of her journey proved the potential rewards are immense.
Exploring King's Road and South Kensington
Lilly headed to King's Road in Chelsea, using a map app to locate charity shops in the area and extending her search to South Kensington. She shared her experience with her 147,000 TikTok followers, amazed by the treasures she uncovered.
Designer Haul
Items included a Longchamp bag for £68 (typically over £100), 'so much Prada', Lululemon, Alo, and a Celine bag next to Prada loafers. 'I have honestly never found so much designer stuff charity shopping in my life,' she said. A Rat & Boa dress was £63, retailing at £275, and brand new Prada loafers were donated.
She also found near-new Adidas and Nike trainers, Aaliyah pumps, a Miu Miu skirt, and a black Celine leather jacket worth thousands. While prices exceeded £100, Lilly noted, 'People in these charity shops are trained to know how much stuff retails for. You're not gonna get designer stuff for £5.'
