Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have traveled to southern France for a romantic holiday, despite dangerous wildfires burning across the region. The couple was spotted walking through Nice Airport on July 26, 2026, with Beckham appearing nervous while Peltz seemed more relaxed, according to an onlooker who spoke to The Sun.
Celebrity Arrival Amid Crisis
The 27-year-old hot-sauce entrepreneur and his 31-year-old wife were recognized by other holidaymakers as they passed through the arrivals terminal. An onlooker told The Sun: 'He looked a bit nervous. He kept looking around, but she appeared more laid-back and chilled. Lots of people recognised them and were nudging each other as they came through the arrivals terminal with their luggage.' The couple reportedly bypassed the security queue, being taken to the front and quickly proceeding on their way.
It is believed that the pair may be visiting Beckham's godfather, Elton John, who owns a villa in Nice. The trip comes as wildfires continue to devastate southwestern France.
Wildfire Crisis in Southern France
French firefighters are battling wildfires that have consumed 42,000 hectares in the southwest, forcing more than 220,000 people to evacuate, according to the BBC. Since the start of 2026, a total of 56,000 hectares have burned across France. The city of Bordeaux is a particular concern, with tens of thousands evacuated from surrounding areas as strong winds push flames toward the city.
Captain Nicolas Braz, a firefighting leader, described the flames as 'erratic and unmanageable.' France's Interior Minister Laurent Nunez stated that the situation in the region remains 'very unfavourable.' The UK government has issued warnings about wildfires affecting parts of Gironde and Landes, advising travelers to monitor local media and follow authorities' advice.
