Casualty off July 4, returns July 11 with Lethal Legacy ep 10

The long-running BBC One medical drama Casualty will not air its usual Saturday night slot on July 4, as coverage of Wimbledon and the FIFA World Cup takes over the evening schedule. The show will return next week on Saturday, July 11, at the later time of 8:50pm, and will also be available to stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer.

Lethal Legacy saga continues

The current boxset, titled Lethal Legacy, has been eventful, with the arrival of Colonel Jack Bard (Mark Womack) raising suspicions. Flynn Byron (Olly Rix) believes Bard is abusing his soldiers, particularly Rory Dickson (Gwïon Morris Jones). Meanwhile, Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) faces consequences after a secret affair with Matty Linlaker (Aron Julius), who covered for her when she unknowingly administered an overdose to a child while under the influence of drugs.

Dylan's relapse and aftermath

Dylan Keogh (William Beck) reported Stevie and Matty's fling to Flynn, which backfired dramatically, leading to backlash from both characters. The stressful situation caused alcoholic Dylan to relapse at the end of last week's episode. Next week's episode will focus on the aftermath, with Matty set to confront his father about what he witnessed.

What's next in Lethal Legacy

With only three episodes left of Lethal Legacy, fans are eager to see if Colonel Bard will face justice. After being discharged, Rory planned to report Bard, but his best friend Kev died. Rory broke down in Flynn's arms, and Flynn decided to report Bard himself. The Wyvern Hill saga also continues, with Jodie Whyte (Anna Cell) gathering evidence to expose those responsible. Additionally, fans speculate that romance may be blossoming between Jan Jennings (Di Botcher) and Siobhan McKenzie (Melanie Hill).

Casualty returns Saturday July 11 on BBC One or stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
