London commuters facing two more Tube strike days in June 2026 can rely on the Elizabeth Line, which will operate normally despite industrial action by RMT union members. The strikes are scheduled for Tuesday June 2 and Thursday June 4, from midnight until 11:59 am each day.
Will the Elizabeth Line Be Affected?
The Elizabeth Line is not part of the London Underground network, so it will not be impacted by the strikes and will run its full service. However, passengers should expect it to be much busier than usual as commuters from affected Tube lines seek alternative routes. Some Elizabeth Line stations may also have reduced interchange access, so allow extra time for connections.
Which Tube Lines Are Affected?
All London Underground lines will see reduced services, but some will be more severely disrupted. Based on previous strikes in April 2026, expect:
- No trains on the Piccadilly and Circle lines
- No service on the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate
- No trains on the Central line between White City and Liverpool Street
TfL advises passengers to complete their journeys before 9 pm on each strike day.
When Did Strikes Last Hit the Elizabeth Line?
The Elizabeth Line has not been directly affected by industrial action since its control room staff walked out on New Year's Eve 2024. A threatened strike in early 2025 was called off. The current RMT dispute continues, with further talks scheduled that could potentially cancel the June walkouts.
For alternative travel options, consider buses, e-bikes, or the London Overground. Stay updated via TfL's official channels.
