London Underground and TfL Lines Shut for Bank Holiday Weekend
TfL Lines Shut for Bank Holiday Weekend

Transport for London has confirmed its full list of closures for the bank holiday weekend. Most of the DLR will be shut between Saturday, May 2 and Monday, May 4 while the new fleet of trains are being tested.

The new fleet of 54 trains was first introduced onto the network on September 30 last year before a braking error at Canning Town station in November led to them being withdrawn. TfL announced earlier this year they will be re-introduced in late summer.

There will be no service on the DLR between Bank and Shadwell, Poplar and Beckton and Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal throughout the long weekend. The northwestern portion of the Metropolitan line will also be shut on all three days between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham, Chesham and Watford.
