Arsenal 2026 Parade: Road Closures and Travel Advice

Arsenal's 2026 trophy parade is set to cause significant disruption in Islington this weekend, with road closures and public transport changes in place. The parade will take place on Sunday, May 31, starting from 4am, and is expected to draw at least 500,000 fans.

Road Closures

Islington Council has announced temporary parking suspensions and road closures across multiple streets. Vehicles left on the parade route or side roads after 4am will be removed. Affected roads include Almeida Street, Ambler Road, Blackstock Road, Caledonian Road, Holloway Road, Upper Street, and many more. A full list is available on the council's website.

Pedestrian access will also be restricted on certain roads, including Drayton Park, Holloway Road, and Horsell Road.

Public Transport Disruptions

Buses and trains will be heavily impacted. 23 of 26 local bus routes will be diverted or curtailed. Station Place bus station at Finsbury Park will be closed, but Wells Terrace bus station will remain open for routes W3, W7, and 210.

Highbury and Islington station will be exit-only, with no Victoria line service and no step-free access. Canonbury station will also be exit-only. Finsbury Park station will operate normally and is recommended for step-free access. Holloway Road, Drayton Park, and Essex Road stations will be closed.

Supporters are advised to use stations like Manor House, Archway, Angel, or King's Cross St Pancras for quicker journeys. Those heading to Crystal Palace, West Croydon, or Stratford should use Dalston Kingsland or Dalston Junction.
