A community in Kent is in mourning after a devastating head-on collision claimed the lives of a motorcyclist and his passenger on Saturday evening.
Details of the Fatal Collision
The crash occurred on the A228 Pembury Northern Bypass at approximately 6.40pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025. A black Triumph motorcycle, carrying a man and a woman both in their 30s, was travelling in the direction of Tunbridge Wells. It was involved in a collision with a silver Ford van travelling in the opposite direction. A Jaguar car was also caught up in the incident.
Emergency services, including Kent Police and ambulance crews, rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, the male rider and his female pillion passenger were pronounced dead at the location. Their next of kin have been informed.
A Family's Heartbreaking Tribute
The motorcyclist's brother has paid an emotional tribute, describing his sibling as his "best big brother" and "biggest supporter".
In a statement, he said: "It’s with the most broken heart that I inform everyone of my brother. The best big brother and my biggest supporter tragically lost his life last night. I’m broken without you. The pain is indescribable. I’ll miss you for the rest of my life."
Police Investigation and Witness Appeal
Kent Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic crash. Officers are now urgently appealing to the public for assistance.
They are asking for any witnesses who saw the events leading up to the collision, or the crash itself, to come forward. Police are also urging any motorists who were in the area at the time, particularly those with dashcams fitted in their vehicles, to check their footage for any relevant recordings.
