Cruz Beckham, the 20-year-old son of football legend David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, has had his driving licence revoked after being caught speeding in multiple 20mph zones.
Six Points and Licence Revocation
The young Beckham accumulated six penalty points for two separate speeding offences committed within two years of passing his driving test. Under DVLA rules, any driver who gains six or more points within their first two years on the road automatically has their licence revoked.
According to the Mail on Sunday, Cruz is said to be 'gutted' about the development, having been excited to pass his test as a teenager. His parents had proudly shared news of him obtaining his licence in September 2023 on social media.
The Speeding Incidents
One of the offences occurred on September 2, when Cruz reportedly told his Instagram followers he had 'just got done for doing 24 in a 20'. The admission highlights a common issue faced by drivers across the UK, with new figures showing nearly 500,000 speeding tickets were issued for offences in 20mph zones last year alone.
A source close to David and Victoria's son told the Mail: 'Cruz is gutted about it. It was a couple of speeding tickets which are so easy to come by these days with 20mph zones. It's infuriating but he seems to have accepted it and taken it on the chin.'
What Happens Next for Cruz
Cruz will now have to reapply for a provisional licence and pass both the theory and practical driving tests again before being allowed back on the road. The setback comes at an inconvenient time for the aspiring musician, who recently turned heads with his explicit lyrics in his debut song.
Known to be a car enthusiast like his father, Cruz is often seen driving his believed Land Rover or a silver 1980s Mercedes. The revocation comes shortly after he was spotted enjoying Winter Wonderland's VIP night in Hyde Park with girlfriend Jackie Apostel, where the couple were seen sharing kisses and Cruz won a large Grinch toy for his partner.
Metro has contacted Cruz Beckham for comment regarding the driving ban.
