Xbox has released over 60 minutes of new gameplay footage for two of its biggest upcoming titles, Fable and Halo: Campaign Evolved. The extended videos follow the recent Xbox Games Showcase, where Microsoft highlighted its major first-party lineup.
Fable Deep Dive
Playground Games' fantasy role-player Fable was delayed to February 23 to avoid competing with Grand Theft Auto 6. The new 30-minute gameplay demo offers an uninterrupted look at the rebooted world of Albion, described as resembling Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 with a whimsical filter. The video showcases game systems, including player choices such as whether to kill a talking pig. It also demonstrates how non-playable characters react based on the player's reputation. In one segment, the protagonist hires a beggar named Jack to work at his newly acquired pub after building a friendship with him.
The second half of the demo explores relationship dynamics, including marriage, having children, and ending relationships through a menu toggle. Playground Games promises 1,000 fully voiced characters in the final game.
Halo: Campaign Evolved Gameplay
For fans of first-person shooters, Microsoft released a 28-minute demo of Halo: Campaign Evolved, featuring the fifth mission, Assault On The Control Room. The remake offers a polished version of the original Halo. A separate video highlights the newly added third-person perspective in The Silent Cartographer mission.
Halo: Campaign Evolved, which lacks competitive multiplayer, launches on July 28, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
