West Ham reject all offers for Jarrod Bowen amid Chelsea, Man Utd interest
West Ham reject all offers for Jarrod Bowen

West Ham United have firmly ruled out selling captain Jarrod Bowen this summer, despite intense interest from several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United. According to Sky Sports, the Hammers have set no price tag for the 29-year-old, who still has four years remaining on his contract.

Relegation triggers potential exodus

West Ham's relegation to the Championship has prompted speculation that many of their star players will leave the London Stadium. The exodus has already begun with Matheus Fernandes joining Tottenham for a record £85 million fee, following a transfer battle with Manchester United. Bowen, widely regarded as one of the best forwards outside the traditional 'big six', is arguably the club's most valuable asset.

Since joining from Hull City in 2020, Bowen has amassed 85 goals and 63 assists in 280 appearances, notably scoring the winner in the 2023 UEFA Conference League final. Capped 22 times for England, he was controversially omitted from Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad despite recording 23 goal contributions in 42 matches last season.

Interested clubs face disappointment

Alongside Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United, Aston Villa and Everton are also monitoring Bowen's situation. However, managers Michael Carrick and Xabi Alonso are expected to be disappointed as West Ham have no intention of selling their captain. The club's financial position has been strengthened by the substantial fee received for Fernandes, reducing any pressure to offload Bowen.

Bowen featured in West Ham's new home kit launch this week, a move interpreted by some as a sign he is staying. His personal stance on a move remains unknown; a return to the top flight and potential Champions League football with United, Liverpool, or Villa would be tempting, but he has a strong affinity for his current club.

United move on to Summerville

Manchester United have quickly shifted focus, reportedly opening talks to sign Bowen's teammate Crysencio Summerville. The Dutch winger, valued at £50 million, impressed at the World Cup and is also of interest to Arsenal and Chelsea. West Ham are also expected to listen to offers for former Red Devil Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jean-Clair Todibo.
