Chelsea have completed the signing of veteran striker Danny Welbeck from Brighton & Hove Albion for a reported fee of £5 million. The 35-year-old has agreed to a two-year contract and will join Xabi Alonso's squad for their pre-season tour. Welbeck's arrival raises questions about the future of Chelsea strikers Liam Delap, Nicolas Jackson, and Marc Guiu. Delap joined from Ipswich last season, while Jackson and Guiu have been part of the squad. Welbeck is the latest player to move from Brighton to Chelsea in recent years, following João Pedro, Moisés Caicedo, Robert Sánchez, and Marc Cucurella, who left for Real Madrid earlier this summer.
