Tyrique George has completed a permanent move from Chelsea to Everton, signing a four-year contract in a deal worth an initial £18 million, with a further £6 million in potential add-ons.
George's Promise
The 20-year-old winger, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton, made 11 Premier League appearances, though only one was a start. He expressed his ambition in a statement: “There is a lot more to come from me and with the manager, the coaches and my team-mates, I know I’m in a great place to show it. Everton is an environment that demands hard work from everyone, and I will give everything. To be in for the start of pre-season is something I was keen on.”
Moyes' Summer Signings
George becomes manager David Moyes' third summer signing. Midfielder Merlin Rohl has made his loan deal permanent, while fellow midfielder Hayden Hackney completed a £16 million move from Middlesbrough. The club is aiming to strengthen after a challenging season.
