Ryan Fitzpatrick shares Taylor and Travis wedding details

NFL star Ryan Fitzpatrick has shared insider details from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, including the surprise appearance of Adam Sandler as the officiant. The former quarterback, 43, told People magazine that the couple's decision to hire the comedian left guests stunned.

Adam Sandler's role as officiant

'When Adam Sandler walked out, it had everybody floored; that was really cool,' Fitzpatrick said, adding that 'the ceremony was beautiful.' Sandler, known for his roles in Grown Ups and Happy Gilmore 2, has connections to both Swift and Kelce. Swift's music has been a staple in Sandler's household, while Kelce recently appeared in Happy Gilmore 2. Sandler previously praised Swift, saying, 'Taylor in our house, every tune, they knew every word,' and described Kelce as 'unbelievably funny and confident.'

Extravagant wedding details

The wedding, reportedly costing over $20 million, featured a guest list of around 1,000 attendees at Madison Square Garden. Fitzpatrick noted that the couple did 'everything top notch' and that he was still recovering from 'six-plus hours of dancing.' BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James, who attended, confirmed that the event was 'unbelievably fun' and that Swift and Kelce 'were having a great time, they looked amazing, they were on the dancefloor.'

Guest experiences and logistics

James revealed that the wedding was not a sit-down dinner but a buffet with food from favorite New York City restaurants, multiple cakes, and an invitation for guests to dance on stage. He likened the star-studded crowd to a 'room full of the most famous people in the world,' comparing it to Madame Tussauds but 'the wax was animated and you could interact.' Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos described the event as 'as intimate as it could possibly be, given that it was Madison Square Garden,' and called the ceremony 'moving' and 'deeply loving.'

Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce, called the wedding 'magical.' Travis's brother, Jason Kelce, who served as his Man of Honor, said they had a 'good time' and joked about having 'way more than 15 beers.' James also shared that he had to take annual leave to attend, keeping the invitation a secret from his boss.
