Despite guiding Liverpool to the title in his debut season, Slot's second campaign has been catastrophic. This decline comes after a summer transfer outlay exceeding £400 million, intensifying speculation about his future at Anfield.
While the Dutchman is understood to still have the backing of the club's owners, the mood within the camp appears bleak. A telling post-match interview from midfielder Curtis Jones following the PSV defeat highlighted the depth of the malaise currently affecting the squad.
Klopp and Enrique Emerge as Contenders
