I'm A Celebrity Plans Canadian Spin-Off for 25th Anniversary

Nearly two weeks after one of the most chaotic live finales in reality TV history, the action for I'm A Celebrity is far from over. Following the all-stars version in South Africa, ITV is reportedly planning a new spin-off set in the Canadian wilderness to mark the show's 25th anniversary.

Wild Frontier Version

The new format, tentatively titled Wild Frontier, will feature a surprise twist by pairing well-known faces as they tackle terrifying trials together. Producers have approved the concept, and the show is expected to air next year with Ant and Dec returning as presenters.

A source told The Sun: 'This has all been very hush-hush, but everyone involved is really excited to get cracking with filming. The scenery will be stunning and the action explosive. Imagine the tension of two stars paired together, forced to eat, sleep, breathe and work together in constant near proximity. There will likely be fireworks and already some pretty big names are in the mix to appear.'

David Haye Legal Action

This news comes after former boxer David Haye announced plans to sue ITV for 'way more than £10,000,000' over his depiction on I'm A Celebrity... South Africa. Haye was involved in a controversial finale where he defended Jimmy Bullard against Adam Thomas, who won the show. After the episodes aired, Haye faced accusations of bullying Thomas, calling him an 'unworthy winner' during the live final. Fans also criticised Haye's views on women after he discussed the 'ugly duckling syndrome', which his campmate Beverley Callard branded 'sexist'.

Haye has now instructed lawyers to send a letter to ITV demanding a 'full investigation' into the show's edit, which he claims was manipulated to portray him as the 'pantomime villain'. In a video to followers, Haye said: 'I'm not sure if you know me that well but those who do know that I don't like getting pushed around. I don't like people taking advantage. I've had stuff happen in the past, I've let certain stuff go, but as I've got older I'm like, nah, you're taking the p**s. I'm going to take it as far as it needs to go.'

Adam Thomas Response

Adam Thomas, who was crowned the second-ever Ultimate Legend, has also expressed frustration, saying he felt 'exploited' by the series. On his podcast, At Home With The Thomas Bros, he said: 'I just felt like I'd just been exploited and I think you can see it at the end of the live show. I feel like I sold my soul and you couldn't pay me £10,000,000 to do that experience again. Nothing is worth what I went through in there.'

ITV has not yet commented on the spin-off or the legal threats. The new Canadian series promises to bring fresh drama and challenges as the franchise celebrates its milestone anniversary.
