EastEnders: Grant Mitchell Clashes with Johnny Carter Over Linda
Grant Mitchell Faces Off with Johnny Carter Over Linda

EastEnders fans are in for a dramatic week as Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) clashes with Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) over his treatment of his mother, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). The tension escalates after Johnny rejects Linda's attempt to mend their fractured relationship.

Linda's Olive Branch Rejected

Earlier this year, Linda was devastated when Johnny cut her out of his life for meddling in his relationship with Callum Highway (Tony Clay). This week, a turning point arrives when Linda learns from her mother Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) that Johnny is facing financial difficulties. Determined to help, Linda decides to sell her share in Denise Fox's (Diane Parish) hair salon Fox & Hair, which she purchased in 2022 with money from her then love-rival Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks). She offers the proceeds to Johnny as an olive branch, but he coldly rejects her, ordering her to stay out of his business.

Grant Steps In

Later, a deflated Linda runs into Grant and updates him on the situation. Grant tries to lift her spirits, but Linda snaps at him. Undeterred, Grant takes matters into his own hands and confronts Johnny at the local café, delivering some home truths in an attempt to repair the mother-son relationship. Grant, who is back on the Square following the death of his friend Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley), has been growing closer to Linda, with the soap hinting at a romantic spark between them during his previous visit.

What Lies Ahead?

Could Grant's intervention be the push Johnny needs to reconcile with Linda? And more importantly, could this spark a romance between Linda and Grant? The situation is complicated by the fact that Grant is the ex-husband of Linda's best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who rekindled her relationship with Grant last year. Meanwhile, Linda's jealousy over her ex Max Branning's (Jake Wood) blossoming romance with Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) may drive her into Grant's arms.

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday, 4th May at 7:30 pm on BBC One, or stream first from 6 am on iPlayer. Don't miss the drama as the Mitchell-Carter saga unfolds.
