The blood feud between the Tates and the Dingles rages on in Emmerdale next week. With his enemies, Moira and Cain Dingle, and even his fiancée, Dawn Taylor, scheming to bring about his downfall, it becomes apparent that Joe Tate and Graham Foster are more aware than anyone predicted. As Joe strikes back, has the battle claimed its first corpse?
Charity Dingle finds herself in an unusual position, out of options and at the mercy of ruthless Dr. Todd. Can Charity find the cash to pay for Todd's silence, or has she finally found an opponent she cannot outmanoeuvre?
Robron are under fire, quite literally, when Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden find themselves the victims of a number of arson attacks. While Ross Barton schemes alongside Sam Dingle, suspicion falls on Kammy Hadiq, but what is he hiding?
Elsewhere, as Cain faces his new reality, Eric Pollard succeeds where Liam Cavanagh fails and gets through to him, while Lydia Dingle remains narked off with Sam.
Monday, May 18
As it looks like Cain and Joe will go head to head in the Woolpack, Moira arrives just in time and Cain withdraws, leaving Dawn terrified that things are getting too volatile. With Moira aware of Cain's rage and concerned over how much longer he can keep himself in check, Moira is forced to tell Dawn to take the kids and flee. While Charity sweats under the pressure of Dr. Todd, she is focused on keeping Vanessa Woodfield at bay at home. Fast running out of options, Charity is chilled to come downstairs and find Todd holding baby Leyla, and further panic-stricken when she demands her money within one week. Elsewhere, Robert and Aaron begin to wonder who is targeting them when another fire springs up on Emmerdale Farm.
Tuesday, May 19
Dawn breaks it to Moira that she cannot leave Joe, but while she reassures her that she is dedicated to their plan to destroy him, she struggles later when talk turns to their wedding. As Dawn heads upstairs, Graham comes home and it becomes crystal clear that they both know what she is up to. Todd flexes the power she holds over Charity, inviting Ross and Mackenzie Boyd to play a game of darts. Charity confronts her in the toilets, though even when she takes the upper hand physically, Todd reminds her that she holds all the cards, leaving Charity ultimately defeated. Meanwhile, Lydia is annoyed with Sam for missing her dance class, forcing him to seek out Ross with a request, and Aaron spells it out that he thinks Joe is behind the fires.
Wednesday, May 20
Ross and Sam scope out a barn on Emmerdale Farm, and Ross decides to concoct a cover story for their plan. Asking Sam to start a fire, they are startled by Robert and Aaron's approach, leaving Sam to flee. Thinking on his feet, Ross tells them that he is hunting their arsonist and even procures payment from Robert for his efforts, later reporting to Sam that he has sorted a space, while Aaron roasts Kammy for turning up to work exhausted and scruffy. While Graham urges Joe to strike against Dawn and end her scheming, he returns home and pales to see Dawn, lifeless at the foot of the stairs, while Joe stands atop them. Also, Charity tries to protect Vanessa from Todd and, quickly running out of options, offers to sell her half of the pub to Kim Tate.
Thursday, May 21
Robert blanches when, after another fire, Ross floats the idea that Kev Townsend could be behind the attacks, while Aaron's suspicions fall on Kammy. With Robert tripling Ross's pay to find the arsonist quicker, Aaron begins to wonder if Ross is starting the fires to extract money from them, and he and Robert decide to investigate for themselves. Elsewhere, Cain coldly dismisses Liam when he pushes him to consider life after having his catheter removed.
Friday, May 22
As Cain continues to suffer alone, Eric offers him some advice, encouraging him to face his problems and tackle them head on. With Aaron and Robert utterly dedicated to finding the arsonist, Kammy privately sweats, alarmed at their determination. Meanwhile, Joe makes a confession that nobody sees coming.
