Emmerdale confirms Robert and Aaron are in Portugal with Victoria
Emmerdale: Robert and Aaron safe in Portugal

Emmerdale has confirmed the whereabouts of Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), revealing they are in Portugal. The couple are taking a holiday to visit Robert's sister Victoria Sugden (Isobel Hodgins), who fled the country after killing Robert's serial-killing half-brother John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) with a syringe full of drugs.

Kev Townsend Returns with a Kidnap Plot

The news comes as the man-bunned menace Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) returns to the village, embroiled in a chilling kidnap plot involving his long-lost son Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches). Viewers feared for Robron's safety, especially since Robert never finalised a divorce from Kev, leaving the couple unable to marry.

In a sneak peek, Ross Barton (Michael Parr) asks Ryan Stocks (James Moore) about Robert and Aaron's whereabouts. Receiving only clever quips, Ross calls Robert in a panic to quiz him about Kev. Robert, however, is not around to talk personally—he and Aaron are in Portugal enjoying a well-deserved rest after recent drama.

Robert's Holiday Attitude Frustrates Ross

Robert's less-than-helpful answers to Ross's questions about Kev leave the badboy more frustrated. 'You've been great,' Ross snaps. 'Have a nice holiday. Hope the plane doesn't crash on the way back!'

Ross is clearly concerned for his little brother Lewis's safety. The resident badboy of the Dales is worried about Kev's return, but Robert appears unfazed, prioritising his holiday with Aaron and Victoria.

Robron's Recent Turmoil

Robron's romance was previously derailed by Kev Townsend, who pretended to be terminally ill and attacked Aaron with a sword. Their Christmas celebrations were thrown into chaos by John Sugden's twisted plan to murder Robert and pin the blame on Aaron. John met his end in the woods after Victoria stabbed him with a syringe full of drugs, forcing her to flee to Portugal.

Despite these threats, Robert recently reclaimed his father Jack's legacy by taking over Butler's farm after Cain and Moira were forced to give it up. This came at the cost of framing Moira Dingle for people trafficking and modern slavery at the behest of Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

What's Next for Robron?

With Kev back and a murder looming in the village, fans are hoping Robron stay safe. The couple's absence from the village may be a temporary reprieve, but Kev's obsession with Robert and his involvement in Lewis's kidnap plot suggest danger is not far behind.
