Emmerdale: Charity Panics as Kim Rejects Woolpack Deal

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was given one week to raise £100,000 for Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) in Emmerdale, and she believed Kim Tate (Claire King) would provide the funds. However, she failed to consider that Kim might not agree to her proposition. Charity asked Kim to buy her shares of the Woolpack at a discounted price. In Charity's eyes, this generous offer should have been accepted without question, but Kim naturally had reservations. She wondered why Charity wanted to sell suddenly and suspected she was in some kind of trouble. Charity was not about to reveal that she slept with Ross Barton (Michael Parr), became pregnant with his child, and then gave the baby to Sarah and Jacob Sugden (Katie Hill and Joe-Warren Plant), allowing them to believe the child is their daughter. There was no way she would disclose that, but perhaps she should have.

Skirting around the reason for selling up is another of Charity's recent mistakes, as her shifty behavior prevents Kim from committing to becoming the pub's new co-owner. In upcoming episodes, Kim announces that she is pulling out of the Woolpack purchase, leaving Charity in a nightmare. In desperation, Charity tries to scavenge a loan from Kim instead. As she departs, Charity shouts at Kim, and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) overhears.

Defeated, Charity admits to Chas that she is being blackmailed by Dr Todd over Leyla's parentage. Together, they hatch a plan to rob the safe at Home Farm to pay Caitlin off. To buy herself some time, Charity gives Dr Todd a down payment, but Dr Todd demands the rest of the cash tomorrow or she will reveal Charity's baby secret at Sarah's 21st birthday party. Can Charity save herself from this nightmare?
