Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star Adam J Woodward has shared the news that he is set to become a father for the first time. The 33-year-old actor, best known for playing Brody Hudson in the Channel 4 soap, announced the exciting development over the weekend via his Instagram account.
Baby Woodward Due in August
Adam posted a series of photos revealing that his partner is pregnant with their first child. One image shows baby scan images placed beside tiny booties and a dinosaur onesie, while another captures Adam kissing his partner's pregnancy bump. In the caption, he wrote: 'Incoming badass'. The couple's baby is expected to arrive in August 2026.

Adam's Career Highlights
Adam portrayed Brody Hudson on Hollyoaks from 2017 to 2021. His character was killed off when Warren Fox, played by Jamie Lomas, mowed him down to prevent him from going to the police about Cormac Ranger's murder. Adam was also part of a powerful storyline that revealed his character Brody had been groomed and sexually abused by football coach Buster Smith as a teenager. After the plot aired, the Channel 4 soap reported that rape and sexual abuse charity Survivors Manchester had experienced an increase in calls. In 2019, Adam won the British Soap Award for Best Male Dramatic Performance for his role. He also appeared in Emmerdale in 2015 as a guest at the B&B and in 2017 as a male escort.
