Plans have been submitted to Haringey Council for a new residential development in Hornsey that would deliver nine dwellings. The proposal at Cleopatra House, Pembroke Road, Hornsey, London, N8 7RQ, involves the erection of a five-storey building with gardens, balconies, landscaping, refuse and cycle storage. The application, reference HGY/2026/2193, is among the latest planning applications validated or decided by the council.
Tree works and extensions across the borough
A separate application at 7 Broughton Gardens, Hornsey, N6 5RS, seeks consent for tree works including a 30% crown reduction to a lime, magnolia, and apple tree, reducing height by 3m and width by 2.5m (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2664). At 20 Leaside Avenue, Hornsey, N10 3BU, a pear tree in the back garden would be reduced by 1.5m to previous growth points to manage regrowth and fruit weight (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2663).
Several residential extensions are also proposed. At 103 Perth Road, Wood Green, N22 5QG, a single-storey rear extension projecting 3m from the original house, with a maximum height and eaves height of 3m, is planned (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2660). At 84 Wellington Avenue, Tottenham, N15 6BB, two applications cover a part double-storey rear extension (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2569) and a second-floor extension with loft accommodation at third level within a pitched roof (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2573).
Tree felling and protected tree works
At 38 Claremont Road, Hornsey, N6 5BY, section felling of a mature Eucalyptus tree in the rear garden to ground level is proposed due to excessive crown growth and proximity to the building (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2649). At 34 Church Vale, Hornsey, N2 9PA, works to a TPO-protected Lombardy poplar, reducing height by up to 4m due to dieback and fungal growth, are planned (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2645).
At Kempton House, 52 Cholmeley Park, Hornsey, N6 5AD, a reduction of a TPO-protected common lime tree crown by 3m over the road to prevent encroachment is proposed (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2644); sycamore works at the same address are considered separately (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2650). At 43 Glasslyn Road, Hornsey, N8 8RJ, a crown reduction of a willow tree within a conservation area by up to 4m to previous points is planned (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2641).
School buildings and telecoms installations
Park View Secondary School, Langham Road, Tottenham, N15 3QR, has two applications. One seeks permission for a two-storey modular temporary building and a three-storey modular classroom building for three years, replacing a previously consented structure (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2371). The other covers replacement of Block A roof, raising parapets, installation of photovoltaic panels and sedum roof, and replacement of third-floor glazing (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2482).
Two telecoms installations are proposed near Wood Green Tunnel: a 6m high support pole with antennas and equipment cabinet at a site 99 metres northwest (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2566) and a similar installation 90 metres southeast (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2570).

At 231 Philip Lane, Tottenham, N15 4HL, four roof-mounted photovoltaic solar panels are proposed (Ref. No: HGY/2026/0779). At 62 Turnpike Lane, Wood Green, N8 0PR, a new one-bedroom studio dwelling in the rear storage yard is planned (Ref. No: HGY/2026/0164). At 146 Peabody Cottages, Lordship Lane, Tottenham, N17 7QN, a change of use from dwelling house (Class C3) to children's home (Class C2) is proposed (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2226).
At 49 Sylvan Avenue, Wood Green, N22 5JA, a change of use from residential dwelling to small HMO (Class C4) with bin and bike stores is sought (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2583). At 82 Clarence Road, Wood Green, N22 8PW, a change of use to small HMO (Class C4) for up to five occupants is proposed (Ref. No: HGY/2026/2521). At 59 Gladstone Avenue, Wood Green, N22 6JY, a change of use to small HMO (Class C4) for up to six unrelated occupants, with no internal or external alterations, is planned (Ref. No: HGY/2026/1238).
