Woman, 24, killed in West London double stabbing; man arrested

A 24-year-old woman has died and a man in his 20s has been injured in a double stabbing in West London. Police were called to a home on Uxbridge Road, Hayes, at 7:55 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, following reports of a stabbing. Officers found the woman deceased at the scene. The man was discovered outside the property with stab injuries; his condition is still being assessed.

Suspect Arrested Near Scene

A 44-year-old man matching the suspect’s description was located nearby and arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He sustained injuries believed to be from jumping out of a window and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo stated: “This is a shocking incident which has tragically resulted in one woman losing her life and another man in hospital with injuries. Our thoughts at this time are with both victims and their loved ones, who are being supported by specialist officers.”

Police Appeal for Information

Bhangoo added: “Our enquiries are in the early stages but we do not believe there to be any wider threat to the public. However, we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything or who has any information that could assist our investigation. We know this incident will have caused significant concern in the community and residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.”

The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 7:53 a.m. and dispatched multiple resources, including ambulance crews, paramedics in response cars, incident response officers, an advanced paramedic practitioner, and London’s Air Ambulance. Three people were treated at the scene; one died, and two others were taken to a local hospital.
