Three men aged 25 have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping following an incident in Harrow, North West London, with two also arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment. The arrests were made on Thursday, August 20, four days after police received a report of the kidnapping on Masons Avenue.
The Met Police confirmed that all three suspects remain in custody. A police cordon is currently in place around a garage in the area, according to MyLondon.
Timeline of the incident and arrests
The Metropolitan Police received a report of a kidnapping on Monday, August 17 at 12:41pm. The alleged incident is believed to have taken place on Thursday, August 13 on Masons Avenue, Harrow.
Following an investigation, three men, all aged 25, were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping on Thursday, August 20. Two of the men were additionally arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment.
Police statement and ongoing investigation
A Met Police spokesperson said: "On Monday, August 17 at 12:41pm, police received a report of a kidnapping on Masons Avenue, Harrow. It is believed the incident took place on Thursday, August 13."
The spokesperson added: "Three men - all aged 25 - have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping on Thursday, August 20. Two of the men were also arrested for false imprisonment. All three remain in custody."
