Terence Donovan, the British-born actor best known for his roles in Australian police dramas Division 4 and Cop Shop, has died at the age of 90, his family confirmed.

Donovan's sons, actor Jason Donovan and Paul Donovan, released a statement calling their father “our world”. “Our dad was a huge character, larger than life,” they said. “We will desperately miss him but we take comfort knowing we were all here by his side in his final days.”
Career highlights
Donovan gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s for his roles in the police dramas Division 4 and Cop Shop. He later became a regular cast member on the long-running Australian soap opera Neighbours in the early 1990s, playing Doug Willis. His character returned for several guest appearances over the years.
