A major police investigation in Wiltshire has resulted in six men being charged with a total of 60 sexual offences against one woman, including allegations of drugging and rape.
Ex-Husband Faces Majority of Charges
Philip Young has been charged with 56 offences against his ex-wife, Joanne Young. The charges include 11 counts of rape and administering a substance with intent to stupefy to enable sexual activity.
He is also accused of voyeurism, possession of indecent images of children, and possession of extreme images. Young is scheduled to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Five Other Men Accused
Wiltshire Police have also charged five other men in connection with the case. The alleged offences are said to have occurred between 2010 and 2023.
The other defendants are:

- Dean Hamilton, 47, of no fixed abode: charged with rape, sexual assault by penetration, and two counts of sexual touching.
- Conner Sanderson Doyle, 31, from Swindon: charged with sexual assault by penetration and sexual touching.

- Mohammed Hassan, 37, from Swindon: charged with sexual touching.
Victim Waives Anonymity in Complex Case
The victim, Joanne Young, has made the decision to waive her automatic right to lifelong anonymity. Police confirmed she has been supported by specially trained officers throughout the process.
Detective Superintendent Geoff Smith of Wiltshire Police described it as a "complex and extensive investigation" and noted this development as a significant update.
James Foster, a specialist prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), stated: "Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to charge and that it is in the public interest to pursue criminal proceedings."
The CPS authorised the prosecutions following the police investigation into the alleged serious sexual offences over the 13-year period.
