Second man charged with murder of 15-year-old Adam Henry

A second suspect has been formally charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in North London, as a devastated family mourns their 'beautiful son'.

Charges Brought in Islington Teenager's Death

Abdel Derdour, aged 22 and of no fixed address, was charged with murder in the early hours of Sunday, 28 December. This development follows the death of Adam Henry, who suffered a single fatal knife wound. The incident occurred on Westbourne Road in Islington, near St Mary Magdalene Academy, at approximately 1pm on Monday, 9 December.

Adam was taken to hospital but sadly died from his injuries. The Metropolitan Police launched an investigation, leading to Derdour's arrest on Friday, 26 December after a public appeal. He is scheduled to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Monday, 29 December.

A Family's Heartbreaking Tribute

In an emotional statement, Adam's family described him as a 'loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend'. They said: 'Our beautiful son, Adam, was cruelly taken away from us... We will never recover from the loss and not having him in our lives.'

They remembered his character, stating: 'He had many interests and was always there with a smile and a cheeky sense of humour. He was good-natured and loyal.' The family has requested privacy to grieve and urged the public to avoid speculation, noting this is an active homicide investigation.

Ongoing Police Investigation and Other Arrests

Derdour is the second individual to be charged in this case. Tsidi Winion, 20, of Handyside Street, Camden, was previously charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Monday, 15 December. He has been remanded in custody awaiting trial.

Daniel Williams, 39, of Shooters Hill, Camden, was arrested alongside Derdour at a property in north-west London. He faces charges of fraud, theft, dangerous driving, and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and has also been remanded in custody.

Three other individuals – two men and a woman – who were arrested at the same address have been released on bail pending further enquiries. The woman was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

A former teacher at Adam's school told Metro: 'He was a lovely boy, we are all devastated... He left the school in Year 8 he had his whole life ahead of him.' The teacher added that friends had been crying at the scene, calling it 'such a waste of life'.
