Melania Trump has not been seen in public for nearly a month, sparking speculation about her whereabouts as President Donald Trump is frequently seen with aide Natalie Harp. The former First Lady was last spotted on July 19, when she attended the FIFA World Cup Final with her husband. Since then, she has skipped Senator Lindsey Graham’s funeral and did not greet the families of four U.S. service members killed in the Middle East, whose bodies were returned to the U.S. in late July.
Melania's Public Appearances Drop
An analysis found that Melania has appeared in public only 38 times this year, roughly one appearance every six days. This marks a significant decrease from her previous public engagements, raising concerns about her role and visibility. Meanwhile, Natalie Harp, a White House aide and former far-right television anchor, has been seen with the President nonstop, fueling speculation about her influence.
Harp joined Trump’s staff in 2022 and has become one of his closest allies. Her constant presence has raised eyebrows, including from her own brother, Parker, who told the Daily Mail: “I don’t understand why my sister, or anyone, could want to work for Trump.”
Harp's Role and Controversies
Harp’s closeness to Trump has been a topic of discussion, with reports that she left a personal note for the President in a “personal space” reading: “You are all that matters to me.” Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff criticized the relationship, saying: “He doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenceless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”
The White House responded by calling Senator Ossoff a “cuck” for his remarks, but questions about Harp’s role persist. Last month, Harp stood by Trump’s side during the transfer of soldiers killed in the Middle East, a duty typically reserved for the First Lady. She is also believed to be responsible for Trump’s Truth Social posts, which have been described as bizarre.
White House Defends Harp
A White House spokesperson previously defended Harp, stating: “No president has cultivated as much loyalty among their staffers and administration officials as President Trump; this is a testament to his commitment to our country and its people. Natalie Harp is a beloved White House Official, and the Fake News Media will never understand what it’s like to be as trusted and admired as her.”
The ongoing situation raises questions about Melania Trump’s public role and the influence of aides like Harp, with no official explanation for the First Lady’s absence. As the public continues to speculate, the White House has not provided further details on Melania’s schedule or her future appearances.
