Man arrested on suspicion of murder after London teen stabbing

A 22-year-old man has been detained by police in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenager in North London last month. Metropolitan Police officers arrested Abdel Dedour on Boxing Day, 26 December 2025, following an intensive two-week search.

Details of the Fatal Attack

The victim, 15-year-old Adam Henry, was attacked in the Islington area at approximately 1pm on Tuesday, 9 December. Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene. Adam was taken to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead from his injuries.

In a heartfelt statement, his family described Adam as a "good-natured and loyal" boy with many interests. They said he was "always there with a smile and cheeky sense of humour" and a "loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend." The family added that they "will never recover from the loss and not having him in our lives."

Boxing Day Raid and Further Arrests

The arrest of Abdel Dedour was part of a larger police operation on 26 December. Officers executed a raid at an address in northwest London, resulting in five arrests in total.

Alongside Dedour, three men and one woman, aged between 18 and 47, were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. During the operation, the 47-year-old woman was further arrested for an alleged assault on a police officer. One of the men, aged 39, faced additional arrests for domestic violence and driving offences. All five individuals remain in police custody.

Ongoing Investigation and Previous Charge

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, stated: "Our thoughts remain with Adam's loved ones throughout this unimaginably difficult time." He emphasised the force's commitment to justice, adding, "There is no place for senseless acts of violence on our streets - and those responsible for such crimes should be brought to justice. My dedicated team have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks."

Specialist officers continue to support Adam's family. This arrest is a separate development in the case. Another individual, Tsidi Winion, 20, of Handyside Street, Camden, was previously charged with Adam's murder and possession of an offensive weapon on 15 December. He is due to face trial next year.
