The local community has expressed profound grief and shock. One resident shared on social media, "He dropped his children off at school every morning at the same primary school my children go to. A great loss for those small children." Another tribute read, "RIP to such a genuine and humble brother," while a friend added, "Allah have mercy on his soul! Clean hearted brother didn’t deserve to go like this."

Independent Keighley councillor Mohammed Nazam emphasized the need for public reassurance, saying, "It’s truly a sad state of affairs. The residents of Keighley must be reassured of their safety, people need to feel safe in their hometown." He commended residents in the Cark Road area for cooperating with police during this difficult time.
