British Transport Police (BTP) have launched an appeal for information after a disabled man was attacked and robbed on a train in South London. The incident occurred on a service approaching Bromley South station at approximately 11:30 AM on Wednesday, May 6.
Details of the Incident
The victim, who has a disability, was assaulted by a stranger who then stole his mobile phone. BTP officers say the man has been left shaken and extremely distressed by the ordeal. The force is now appealing for public assistance to identify a suspect captured on CCTV.
Suspect Description
The footage shows a Black man of medium build with black cornrows. He was wearing a dark-colored Adidas sweatshirt and a silver chain. Police believe he may have information crucial to their investigation.

Related Incident on London Overground
Separately, police are seeking two men in connection with an assault on the London Overground. A passenger was hit in the head with a mobile phone between Surrey Quays and Queens Road Peckham at around 8:45 PM on March 18. A woman who tried to intervene was racially abused. BTP continues to investigate both cases.
