A double stabbing in Croydon has left two people in hospital, with the attacker still on the loose. The incident occurred on George Street, near East Croydon station, just before 6pm on Thursday, July 2.
Victims and Injuries
A man in his 20s and a 16-year-old boy were treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to hospital. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the man's injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing, while the boy's injuries are also non-life-threatening.
Police Response
Police were called at 5.46pm and attended alongside the London Ambulance Service. A heavy police presence was visible on George Street, with cordons, officers, and medical waste bags at the scene. Forensic teams and police dogs were also deployed.
A Met spokesperson said: "We recognise the concern this incident will cause the local community and have increased patrols in the area."
Appeal for Information
No arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large. Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting CAD6934/02JUL26. The scene stretched to outside a Popeyes fast food outlet, and images show rubber gloves and medical kits left on the ground.
